Stanford 2013: Irrational Exuberance Tour

Re: More exuberance - Bruce Wang - 02-12-2013

This is making me nervous.  Reminds me of the hype surrounding the post-Final Four men's basketball team.

No, must be women's BB or soccer.

Joking aside, I don't see why this is a problem. USC got cocky last year because they're a team filled with cocky players with a cocky coach. They bought into the hype. Stanford and Shaw won't. He's probably telling them "Look at USC, look at what happened to them. It's meaningless unless we work hard, prepare hard, and win."

That team still got a two-seed.  They were doing fine until some important players got hurt, and we ran into Gonzaga.....

In football, there is essentially only a one-round tourney* in place, as opposed to six; we'll be in business if we can just get there.  The above will still be issues, though not as major as in hoops.

* yes, this "tourney" will expand to two rounds starting next year.

Nooooo!!! I remember that cover with Arthur Lee.

Kevin Hogan is safe.  Johnny Football will be on the cover of the preseason college football issue.
