Pac12 AD salaries -

Wilner and ESPN both did posts on the USA Today story on AD salaries. It's interesting to see where the various programs stand.
US.C and Stanford salary info is not publicly available.

A few reactions:
- Sandy Barbour at #2? I guess that contract was signed during the "good times" when Ca.l nailed down the financing for the stadium and Tedford was taking the team to BCS Bowls.
- Oregon AD at #6 feels wrong when you consider that Oregon St and UW are both ahead, although you gotta wonder how hard the job is with Nike money flowing freely through the system
- If Colorado is serious about getting their non-ski team sports up to par with the league, they might want to consider increasing his salary
Also, only one female AD feels a scandalous. Are there really that few viable female candidates out there?

She nailed down the financing all right. Unfortunately for her, she borrowed one of those $900 hammers and $20 nails from the Pentagon. Then she had to find more financing (for which she plans on using a Leland Stanford replica golden spike/hammer to secure). So there's the story.

For comparison, then SEC chairperson Mary Schapiro's 2012 salary was $165,300 (no, not that ESS-EEE-CEE). I'll refrain from commenting on priorities and that sort of stuff.

Well, more specifically saying SEC booster = SEC lobbyist, but well...
