My question is why has it taken so long for Stanford football to graduate 100% of a Freshman class and win this award? Shouldn't Stanford have won it at least half as many times as Notre Dame? I'm not hating. Just wondering what people here think the reasons are.
Perhaps surprisingly, the SEC had six (6) schools that graduated at least 75% of the Freshman class of 2005, including Alabama at a 90% graduation rate (will be interesting to see if they do as well with Saban as HC). The Pac-12 only had three (3) schools do it, one of them being Colorado, who was in the Big 12 at the time.

Northwestern's performance over the years is pretty impressive, many years not so much on the field. I hope in the future Stanford can combine multiple afca awards and BCS wins... THAT would be impressive!

Stanford did not participate in the AFCA analysis for a long time. I don't remember when Stanford started participating.
