Stanford women's gymnastics is competing at nationals on Friday, free webcast -

It's that time of year again. Stanford women's gymnastics will compete in the semifinal round of the NCAA championships tomorrow at 12pm Pacific. Twelve teams have qualified to nationals, with three in each semifinal advancing to Saturday's Super Six. In 2012, Stanford surprised everyone to take fourth at NCAAs as the tenth seed. This year's team is ranked ninth and has been struggling with depth due to a couple of injuries to athletes contributing on the power events (floor and vault). Stanford will start on a bye and end on its best event, beam.
You can watch Stanford take on Florida, LSU, Georgia, Illinois and Minnesota in semifinal #1 here:

Live stats will be here:

Individually, we are hoping for either sophomore Ivana Hong (Pac 12 beam champion) or junior Amanda Spinner (fourth at nationals last year) to win the national beam title. Amanda Spinner is one tough athlete, read her story here:

I will spare you the painful details. Stanford finished last, only one athlete (Nicole Dayton on vault) qualified to event finals, and Ivana Hong reinjured her knee.Â
Women's water polo, the pressure is all on you.

On the bright side, Penn State, Michigan, Notre Dame, and North Carolina weren't in the Hunt. >:(

Michigan is competing tonight. Penn State and UNC did not qualify full teams to nationals.

It's an SEC dominated Super Six: Florida, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Oklahoma and host UCLA.Â
