Stanford, Michigan, Oklahoma, Illinois, Iowa and host Penn State will compete for the national championship starting at 4pm Pacific. Stanford's Eddie Penev is a strong contender to win the all-around title. Earlier this week, he was named the recipient of the Nissen-Emery Award, given to the NCAA's top male gymnast:

Wow, that's great!Â
There's an article on Stanford freshman Dennis Zaremski, who came up with his own move to increase his rings routine difficulty.Â

Also, Iowa edged kal by 0.1 points to claim the last Super Six qualifying spot out of Stanford's semifinal. Tough one.

A respectable third place finish. Great for the program to have a quality weekend, but the point total was really not that close to Michigan's tally. That Stanford finish will be helpful for NACDA Director's Cup even though Michigan will get winners points.
It looks like the continuation of Stanford's NCAA team title streak will depend upon winning in Boston on May 12, 2013.Â

Michigan has Olympian Sam Mikulak who took first place. Easily. Penev 3rd.
