Should Toby even bothering suiting up on Sundays? -

I hope for Toby's sake he gets more opportunity to show his stuff on the field this year. This is his last year on his rookie contract, I believe, so being able so should a good YPC on a decent sample size with some tape would really help with his financial security. Mostly, I hope he finds a great fit next year (Colts...?) so we can see his potential. As much as I loved Luck in '10 and '11 and the '12 Rose Bowl squad, '09 stands out as my favorite of the past 4 years, just from an anything-can-happen-on-any-play perspective.
Edit: Did a quick google on Toby Gerhart and found this SBNation article implying that he could be traded

Gerhart is in the last year of his rookie contract. Vikes may look to trade him before they get nothing for him next offseason. I doubt they will match an offer that comes after this season (Gerhart will be a restricted free agent, so if Vikes match another offer they get to keep him), and if he does go then they get a compensatory pick.
As a life-long Chicago Bears fan, I would love to see Gerhart in another uniform, as long as it isn't green & yellow. I could see him being a good fit as a backup to Matt Forte.

I thought I'd follow up to see if there are any rumors out there on Toby's future in the league. I found this article written on Vikings blog that was extremely negative about Gerhart's value. But what was nice was reading the comments where the readers basically slammed the author as ill-informed and lacking perspective.

It sounds like he's built fan support in MN, despite the lack of carries. Still, I'm hoping he gets traded somewhere he can have an impact.

The comments really stuck it to the blogger. The blogger tried to juke the flak coming at him for his original comments by posting a long followup. One commenter was having none of that crap.
"I find it curious and a bit humorous that you would try to defend yourself by claiming: Dont get me wrong; Im a brobdingnagian Gerhart fan. No youre not."
