Yeah, so the kid is a Menlo-Atherton U$C commit for the c/o '17...but the opening scene shows him wearing a Stanford football shirt. Ah well. I wonder if Shaw et al. even looked at this kid.

I am not sure if Smith signed a letter of intent with SC or not. we certainly could use some help longsnapping but I don't think we are investing a scholarship at the position.

Yes, Zach's dad is a Stanford alum. He is part of my tailgating group. He has hosted some of the truly great tailgaters in the history of Chuck Taylor Grove. A good guy.

As a graduate of such a fine institution (though Stanford is pretty good too), I feel compelled to note that this is actually a student from Menlo School in Atherton.

Did I screw something up? :( I was following the School-City convention. I suppose I've seen some people use the City-School convention. Or is there actually a Menlo-Atherton HS?

FM, there actually is a Menlo-Atherton HS (my son graduated from there in 1999). It's public and kids from Menlo Park, Atherton, and East Palo Alto go there. There is also a Menlo School, in Menlo Park, which is private. TC Ostrander went to M-A.
