Was the mistake to @#%& w/ Notre Dame...or the SEC? - Redrum - 06-05-2013

One way or the other, somebody got even.  Ohio St. University president Gordon Gee announced he is retiring at the beginning of July.  My money is on Notre Dame.  Gee is getting off easy.  Remember what happened to the Cathars and the Knights Templar.

I think it's unrelated, Ohio State just ran out of bow tie money.

Hmmm. Thought Gee just wrapped up a $18 million campaign - Redrum - 06-05-2013

For the stunning Ohio St. University Center for Advanced Bow-Tieology.

If you didn't know this already, being brutally honest and truthful is a good way to get fired. Maybe even the best way.

Gee's comments were always good for a quick laugh but I've been surprised that the President of one of the largest public universities in the US has spent so much time commenting on sports, comments which included his memorable take on possibly firing Jim Tressell, "I'm just hopeful the coach doesn't dismiss me."

Yeah, I know Gee was President of football crazed Ohio State not Stanford but can anyone honestly imagine Stanford President Hennessy saying, "I just hope Coach Shaw doesn't fire me!" during a similar football scandal at Stanford?

Not going to happen - neither the scandal nor the comment.
