Stanford and Syracuse announce first college athletic trade - Bruce Wang - 07-02-2013

"Stanfords social media lineup saw a shakeup over the weekend as the nations most successful athletic department traded its Twitter handle, @SUAthletics, to the Syracuse University Athletics. The trade is believed to be the first blockbuster trade in college athletics. To complete the trade, Syracuse will send a collection of local goods to be named
later but also including one case of oranges, which Stanford intends to use in refilling its 2011 Orange Bowl trophy."

For the local goods, Muir better get racks and racks of ribs from Dinosaur BBQ or this trade won't be worth it.

I saw that yesterday. It looked like the Gostanford site had been hijacked by Mad Magazine or something. Very weird article.

If I were Syracuse, I would feel justified in demanding the SUAthletics twitter handle as tribute for this.....

Oh, wait, I just saw that they're going to be sending us a freaking case of oranges in return.Â So they're pretty much really getting the twitter account as tribute.Â LOL at me.
