I liked it, but honestly wished they had invested a little more time in game recaps. Another 10 minutes so they could show some more highlights, or try to build a narrative with the games, was pretty sorely needed. I guess anyone watching would already know what happened, but it's a bit hard to relive the experience when you get a minute of TDs and INTs and nothing else from the game.

I enjoyed it. Thanks!

I agree.

One thing I appreciated, though, was some of the footage of Shaw. A lot of people have said that both Shaw and Harbaugh are uber-competitive, but in their own way. This video provides tangible evidence of why you'd think that.

My favorite part was Chase Thomas shouting "We own this state."  This season I'd like to see Skov shouting at Big Game "We own this state.  We own this conference."

I thought the same thing.  We got lucky in the sequence of coaching styles.  You need an over the top lunatic to make a program believe it could from the worst team in the conference to the best.  And now Shaw's more business-like style is suited to keep an established program humming and taking it to the next level.

Two things I noticed in the video are Shaw's reaction after WSU game and the team's C-house countdown. I liked the WSU response because I'm sure he's all too familiar with how Stanford teams of the past played to the competition, getting the out of this world upsets and then losing to teams they shouldn't. I liked the countdown because it was started within the team (Note the "Now isn't there something you usually do?" after the Rose Bowl.) Good teams typically have good internal leadership. Bad teams often have no leadership or toxic leadership. Somebody's going to have step up and be "the guy" next year.

I really enjoyed the speech after the WSU win. Well, enjoyed may be the wrong word, but I think that kicking the team's ass after a win that bad was probably exactly what they needed. It's good to know that he can do that and that it can work.

Wow, that is a great video. Every Stanford fan needs to watch this. I know it's long, but watch it anyway. What a season. So many memories!

A few random points --

- Shaw obviously was furious after the Washington State game. He's so low key, but he clearly was steaming. That must have been a very interesting week of practice. No surprise that he decided to change QBs after that game.

- So many big moments last season . . . This time, the ones that stood out were the comebacks against Arizona and Oregon State. Stanford was down by two scores in both of those games. The championship season easily could have slipped away. The Chase Thomas interception in OT against Arizona and the Hogan-to-Taylor TD pass against Oregon State were season-saving plays. There were others, of course, but those were big.

- I love watching Shayne Skov in the locker room!

Stepfan Taylor - that guy was money and maybe underrated.  No running back runs w/o blockers, but how many games turned on a big play from Taylor?  SC, Arizona, ND (almost), UCLA?  I know we've got a stable of RB's, I hope one is as special as Stepfan.
