Utah National Parks are open -

Effective noon today the State of Utah paid the National Park Service $1.67 Million dollars to fund operations at Utah's five National Parks, two monuments and Lake Powell Rec. Area for ten days. None are right by SLC but if you were thinking of spending some time in So. Utah the parks are back open.

Utah has my vote for the state with the most beauty per acre. I highly recommend southern Utah....just don't stay in Blanding, where you can't get a beer for love nor money.

I can see Zion National Park from the living room window. It's nice to know that others can enjoy it as well.

Know it well. Lived in St, George for a while. Always thought that was the prettiest part of the park. The five fingers.

It's a reach but did you by any chance live in Parawon in the late 80s?

Way back before my wife and I were married we drove from Colorado back home to Long Beach. We had no expectations for Utah, but we were absolutely blown away by the beauty. We drove through Bryce, Zion, and Arches National Parks. As David Shaw would say, all three are phenomenal. If you ever have the time to explore that part of the country, do yourself a favor and do it.
