Nice start to the game running the ball....if only Shaw had that inclination at the end of the Utah game.....

Nice toss by Hogan, terrible drop by Ty on what would've been a TD.
Bad drop by Gaffney...
So far our coaches are calling it well, players not executing.

The defense, conceptually, is so worrying right now. On most of those runs, UCLA spread us and then outnumbered us in the box -- even before the read-option eliminated another defender. This is just asking to get gashed, just like UW and Utah. If they don't drop a safety, they will continue to get destroyed on the run.

Decent start to the game....Stanford offense showing the ability to control the line of scrimmage and make big plays. On defense some initial holes against the run game, but the DL hasn't been getting blown off the ball.
Hopefully we can clean up the execution mistakes here and get some points.

Oh I forgot one gripe- should've gone for it 4th and 2 on the UCLA side of the field. Shaw too conservative bla bla bla

Something is very wrong with this team. It's beginning to look like SC last year.

Hogan over-threw Montgomery on that pass. It would have been an amazing catch. We look lifeless on offense and our defense isn't setting the edge. Color me nervous.

Not really. Hogan hit Montgomery right in the hands. Hogan could've thrown it a bit better but that's on Montgomery. Hogan's throw to Sanders, on the other hand...

Offense playing really well....Hogan is being decisive with the ball, playing like last year.

Wilkerson.....I take back everythign good about you I ever said. Jesus that would've been a TD!

Offense needs to work on pass catching skills.
Hogan hit Montgomery right in the hands and that pitch by Hogan hit the running back (didn't catch who it was) right in the hands.

Wow we dodged a bullet. Utopian looks good.

Good drive there but then self-destructed at goal-to-go.
Has Stanford abandoned the blocking fullback? I didn't notice any on that drive.

Well. we continue to shoot ourselves in the foot, but at least we have the lead.

Three straight weeks with a stupid roughing the passer penalty. Really, guys?
Re: Stanford - UCLA thread -

Goddamnit! Every game we get a BS roughing the passer call! We might as well just say bad things about their mothers instead of actually trying to hit the quarterback.

Still getting killed on the edges, just like at Utah and vs UW.

We are smart people. We ought to be able to figure out what the rules are and play within them.
