All I need is 2 good minutes -
scorecard - 10-27-2013
Words that would normally apply to my wife, now apply to my other love affair, this damn football team. If it is not for the last minute of the 1st half (where we steal a touchdown and the momentum) and the first minute of the 2nd half (where we get gifted a fumble on the kickoff and punch it in for a TD), we lose this game. 13 points scored in 2 minutes. 7 points for the rest of the game. All the action squarely in the middle, and I would hardly call the rest of the game the equivalent of foreplay or cuddling. All that time, and no O to be found. Pun intended.

Aw, come on, I didn't even incorporate a Beaver joke. Some things are just too low-hanging to grab... Fruit, I'm talking about fruit here!  :D

Oddly enough, the great sports analyst Lou Holtz commented before the game that, "Stanford and OSU will be close. And, the last 5 minutes of the first half, and the first 5 minutes of the second half detemine the outcome of close games."

A broken clock is right twice a day. I think I've heard him say that about almost every game he's commented on.

And the worst part is that we are unsatisfied, even though we didn't go soft. We dominated the LOS on both sides of the ball. Our competition, the OSU QB, couldn't even maintain his upright position, as we recorded 8 sacks and many more hits, yet was more than competitive against us. If it takes that much domination on the LOS to barely win, that doesn't bode well for the future. Puns intended.
