Status of Injuries for Oregon Game - pcgoode - 10-29-2013

We will need all hands on deck to beat the Ducks.  Comments on the following wounded would be helpful: Cajuste; Anderson; Williamson; Gardner (he left near the end of the game vs Oregon State with what appeared to be an arm injury and did not return); and Hoffpauir.

Re: Status of Injuries for Oregon Game - stupac2 - 10-29-2013

Anderson posted on twitter that he'd be playing. I haven't heard anything since the ORST game about the rest.

Shaw said today that he will decide on Henry Anderson this weekend (per David Lombardi).

If I were a betting man... - Mick - 10-29-2013

....I wouldn't touch this game in terms of predicting a winner.  Too many variables.  What do the coaches have up  their sleeve?  How effective will injured players be?  Playing for brobdingnagian stakes, it is tough to see what will happen.

I am curious, though.  What do you think the over/under should be?  I'm thinking about 46.

Stanford DE Ben Gardner will miss the remainder of the season with a left pectoral muscle injury. Career is over.

We're sunk. Hello San Antonio.

Don't be so dramatic. It means we have less of a chance to upset Oregon, but we will still be favored in every other game this year.

ESPN has Oregon NCG and us to the Rose Bowl.  Apparently they feel 10-2 would be good enough.

Re: Status of Injuries for Oregon Game - pcgoode - 10-29-2013

Very sad news about Gardner.  He was one of my favourites.  Amazing motor and intensity - a true warrior.  Some of my favourite memories of the Orange Bowl victory are of him chasing down the VT quarterback.

Re: Status of Injuries for Oregon Game - yvonne - 10-29-2013

"Favourite." "defense." I've got to ask. Where are you posting from/where did you grow up?

I can't imagine beating a fired up USC in the Coliseum without @BennyG49. Oregon to BCS NCG. South winner to Rose Bowl. Stanford to San Antonio.

His career is over? His Stanford career, or his football career?

I had a bad feeling it was going to be a torn pec.  Big contributor, big loss.  Makes Kaumatule's switch to DE all the more crucial to shore things up.  All hands on deck for the DL.  Keep that #partyinthebackfield going.

Sarkisian would call this "method acting."

Re: Status of Injuries for Oregon Game - pcgoode - 10-29-2013

Yvonne, very perceptive.  I grew up in Toronto and live in Calgary, so my spelling sometimes looks a little funny.  Canadian English has a few quirks that are distinct from American English to say the least, as well as from how the language has developed in England.

Re: Canadians - Oasis - 10-29-2013

Just when you think Canadians are just like Americans, a guy whose job is rehabbing classic cars leans over and says: "It took you a long time to help us out in the world wars, didn't it?"
