NCAA WVB tourney field announced: Stanford to host 1st/2nd rds - fullmetal - 12-01-2013
Stanford was give the overall #7 seed (same pod as #2 Penn St., same side as #3 Washington and #6 U$C) and will host first and second round games on Dec. 5-6th.

If I counted right, a total of 8 Pac-12 teams made the tournament. Besides the three seeded teams that fullmetal mentioned, Arizona, Oregon, Kal, ASU, Colorado, and Utah are in.

UCLA makes it nine - most of any conference. I don't feel our ranking is representative at how we're playing. We're peaking at the right time of the season. We beat #3 seed Washington 3-0 two weeks ago and playing the best we've played all year. Rachel Williams and Jordan Burgess have been playing really well and Madi Bugg has been distributed the ball all across the board.
Unfortunately, we're in the same bracket as #2 seed Penn State and will be in a Lexington, KY regional. If we proceed to the Final Four, we'll be up against Washington or possibly 'SC to play for the National Championship.
Like our chances. Finals are in Seattle at Key Arena.

This program has broken my heart repeatedly over the last few years, but I'll be following the team again through the tourney...hope springs eternal!

Its been awhile... Bryn Kehoe was our setter as a freshman on our last National Championship team. She's now a coach at Alabama and they will be playing this Thursday at Maples in the first round. Hope that's a good omen.
