Six Buses of Sparties... -

...just pulled up at the Century Plaza. Four of them, all green, had Rose Bowl logos. Looks like Century City is one of their big locations. They have a very large tent set up in the courtyard in front of the hotel (down a level from the street), no doubt full of Spartie merchandise. Last year it was a bunch of Badgers.

I have to admit, I am puzzled. The Century Plaza is the official Stanford team hotel for this year. Last year, the J.W. Marriott downtown was the official Stanford team hotel. Post game, I did not see any Wisconsin fans around the Marriott, particularly in the lobby itself. Wisconsin had the Century Plaza last year.
How did MSU get these rooms? Did they get it through a $100 deposit for next year's season tickets?  >:(

It's probably intentional. I found it interesting that MSU fans grabbed Stanford area seats while MSU hadn't sold its allotment.
OR maybe fans had bought seats thinking that the Century Plaza was the Big Ten hotel. :-\

MSU sold its allotment far before the Stanford ticket trick came about. The info about the tickets from Stanford came from tRCMB, and the thread explaining how to get Stanford tickets was posted after they sold the original allotment. MSU has been slowly releasing more tickets, but during the time we flooded the Stanford market we did not have any available from MSU.
MSU fans don't care about who gets what hotel. They'll go where there are rooms and location. I don't know much abut the Century Plaza, but it's in B1G fashion to just go to wherever is available. During the B1G Tourney for basketball, the bars and hotels are completely mixed.

I hear there are some hotels with rooms available in "The Jungle" in Baldwin Village. It's only 33 miles from the Rose Bowl.
