So I wanted to use Uranium ore, which should be in rough equilibrium throughout the decay chain, to act as a new source. Unfortunately the ore samples were far less active, more like 200 Bq max, though it's hard to measure. I miss my old source. Though I am currently using the new rocks for an experiment, we'll see how that goes...

BC...clicking on that link and reading a review that long should have taken no more than a minute. It's now 15 minutes later and I'm still having difficulty regaining my composure. I'm pretty sure I got as far as....."a feeling I can only describe as like being given a barbed wire wedgie by two people intent on hitting the ceiling with my head"....before I completely lost it. After that my reading progressed at no more than a crawl since the tears literally kept clouding my vision. If other folks want a great laugh, check it out.
