I found out an interesting factoid about the Stanford "Ogre" position in my Quora feed (answered by a guy who would know):

The term "Ogre" is an ode to the character from "Revenge of the Nerds" -
What I didn't know is that the position existed as such way back when Mike McLaughlin played. Also, I thought "Ogre" was one of the alpha betas...

As I read the article, at the very top Mike says that the Ogre was brought to Stanford by Greg Roman, who started in Jan. of 2009, a bit after Mike played.

Mick, I know, but I was referencing BC's mention of the character Ogre, not the formation.

Per Mike McLaughlin, the package is Jumbo, the position is Ogre.
