9/3 vs. San Jose State
9/10 at Duke
9/17 at Arizona
9/24 bye

The USC through kal games are going to be one tough gauntlet.

Re: 2011 football schedule - washingtonismoney - 11-05-2010

Hate that the bye comes so early, but nice to get Colorado next year (when they should still stink). Also nice to get 7 home games that year. If things break well, we could be a very formidable team next year.

@ USC, @ Oregon St, vs Oregon is a hard stretch of games

Re: 2011 football schedule - yvonne - 11-05-2010

I don\'t think the USC game will be tough because the sanctions will have a deeper effect. However, the 59ers will be tough, as they will be this year.

Re: 2011 football schedule - fullmetal - 11-05-2010

Re: USC game not being a tough game-- That all depends on how many contributing players are not returning next year.  Woods is a frosh this year, and if Barkley returns with most of the OL, their offense will be pretty decent.  Baxter should be a great back for them.  This game will be in the Coliseum, so Stanford needs to work for a more than a last-second field goal victory...

Stanford loses three OL starters next year and at least two DL starters (Fua redshirted; he\'s the third man).  I\'m kinda worried.

Re: 2011 football schedule - 97fan - 11-05-2010

Fua is a fifth-year senior, and so is Bulcke. It\'s Masifilo who will be back. I\'m more worried about next year\'s D-line than I am about the O-line, despite the big losses there. We have some O-line underclassmen in the pipeline.

Re: 2011 football schedule - washingtonismoney - 11-05-2010

USC drops two OL at least, I believe. (I suppose it\'s possible additional juniors could bolt for the NFL) The quality of their OL next year depends on how good Carroll\'s staff\'s evaluations were: they didn\'t recruit OL in large numbers, which was an idea that will probably hurt them in the long run due to the sanctions.

Re: 2011 football schedule - fullmetal - 11-05-2010

Ah right.  Masifilo also redshirted.  Fua and Bulcke are quite talented.

Re: 2011 football schedule - Spiny_Norman - 11-05-2010

Can we get through this season before we start to analyze or fret about the next one?

Re: 2011 football schedule - Robbie - 11-05-2010

I\'ll bet we\'re favored in every game up to Oct 22 (except perhaps Arizona.) We could be highly ranked again next year.

Re: 2011 football schedule - Leftcoast - 11-05-2010

On the other hand, the backend of that schedule is TOUGH.   Notre Dame looks like the only dog as I don\'t believe the reports of USC\'s demise and burial in the bottom of the conference standings.

10/29 at USC
11/5 at Oregon State
11/12 vs. Oregon
11/19 vs. kal
11/26 vs. Notre Dame
