Reid Travis makes US Junior National Team - CapitolHillCard - 02-28-2014

For those who don't follow MBB closely, Travis is one of our 4 recruits for next year and our first McDonald's all american recruit since the Lopez twins in 2006.

Making the USA Junior team is a nice honor and will be useful experience against top flight competition before he starts his college career.

Thanks for the heads up and link. Loved this quote from USA Coach Mike Jones: “He is a true warrior and will add toughness and depth."

Not surprisingly, he has pretty good company on the team: "Ten of the 11 players have signed a National Letter of Intent for the 2014-15 NCAA season. Jones, Okafor and Winslow will play at Duke University; Alexander and Oubre signed with the University of Kansas; Berry and Pinson will head to the University of North Carolina; Blackmon signed with Indiana University; Johnson will play at the University of Arizona and Travis signed with Stanford University. Turner remains undecided."

Hope there's a coach here when he arrives who can actually develop his talent and figure out how to make good use of it on the court.
