NCAA Women's Golf Championship - 2 for 2028 - 05-21-2014

After struggling in the gusty conditions yesterday (with the exception of Lauren Kim) our ladies seem to be dialed in today and have put themselves back in contention:

Yes, they have.  Right now with the players at holes 11 through 15 they are at plus 3 compared to plus 20 yesterday for the full 18 holes.  Should finish significantly better than their 10th place from yesterday.

Geaux Cardinal!

With their players on holes 6 through 9, Stanford has moved up from seventh to a tie for fifth today.

Six of the top 10 teams are from the Pac 12.

They again started on the back nine.  The front nine has not been kind to them.  Hopefully Lauren Kim can hang in there for the individual title.

Stanford's Kim finishes tied for third, 3 strokes behind the leaders Doris Chen and Celine Boutier, from USC and Duke respectively.

Lefty--

I think it's actually a four round championship.  But the team seems to be fading; they played the last four holes today in 8 over par collectively.

Really!  I couldn't tell that from the NCAA website.  Thanks, VG!

Re: NCAA Women's Golf Championship - Farm93 - 05-23-2014

USC's very good NCAA team title year apparently is on the verge of providing another team title.

Ugh, I guess this is good for the Pac-12, but I would really prefer a different Pac-12 team win the day.  USC is way, way, way under par today and has roared into first place.  They also now have the individual leader too.  Several holes are left to play but it looks like it is down to USC or Duke.

Stanford had another rather disappointing day and will finish outside of the top 10.

Phew... - Viking_Guy - 05-23-2014

Duke got it rolling on the back 9, and came back to retake the lead and championship from SC.  So we didn't lose any more ground in the team title race.
