For the heck of it I googled "Amercian." I learned the following:

There's a company called Amercian Pressworks, Inc. and another called Amercian Installation Company.
There's the Amercian Bar Association - Law Student Divsion of Widener School of Law (two for the price of one)
and much more.

But my favorite is a YouTube video of Green Day's "Amercian Idiot."
