Just saw this Youtube clip of all Hogan's plays in that game. What a game.

The third down run converting an almost impossible first down with Stanford backed all the way up may have been the play of that game. Incredible.

Breaking the tackles for that run was a lucky confluence of good balance/size on Hogan's part and terrible tackling on Oregon's part. Focus and finish.

It is what you want it to be. Hogan was wrapped up by Oregon defenders. Typically that's game over for a QB. Hogan powers through the defenders. Does he usually do this to all tacklers? Not usually. But he comes through in the clutch.

These all-plays by a certain player in a game are apparently put together by draftniks, but they can be both fun and very interesting.
There are a few other Hogan clips that show something about his growth over two seasons.
vs Colorado 2012. Hogan's first game as the main QB.

If you just want to relive the pounding of Oregon 2013, Gaffney's tape is also good:

The Oregon State game -- and also the 2013 Rose Bowl -- are great illustrations of Hogan's growth on the long throws.

That third down (at the 1:50 mark in the video if you want to skip directly to it) was amazing. Hogan slipped early in the run, and it looked like he was dead in the water when two Ducks had him in their grasp from behind. And then a third Duck runs at him from the front, and somehow Hogan manages to get past all of them.
Taking a closer look at the video, I think what happened is that the third Duck actually ran into the arms of Duck 2 who had Hogan in his grasp. The impact loosened Duck 2's grip enough that Hogan was able to escape and get the first down. If things hadn't worked out so perfectly (including Hogan's slip at the beginning), we get stopped and have to punt.
Man, sometimes you get luck on top of your preparation. I'll take it.

GG, the mantra of my high school golf coach (and thus of his team) was "the harder I work, the luckier I get."
