Big Game roll call - 82lsju - 11-15-2010

So who here is going?

I am and can be found in Sec kk, row 48, seat 1.

I should be easy to find as I\'ll be wearing red  :)

Re: Big Game roll call - pefloresjr - 11-15-2010

I\'ll be there somewhere in the Stanford section.  I\'ll be the other guy in red.  Go Stanford!
Cheers,
Pete F.

Re: Big Game roll call - terry - 11-15-2010

I plan to be there for my 36th consecutive Big Game. I believe my seats are in Section MM.

Re: Big Game roll call - GaryT - 11-15-2010

This will be my 32nd consecutive BG. Section O Row 56, unless and until I find a way to the sideline.

Surely, Gary, you know better than that.

Re: Big Game roll call - Leftcoast - 11-15-2010

My string isn\'t quite as good.   I missed two in the 90\'s.   I won\'t miss this one.   See you guys there and Gary .... you know what happens when you take the field, right?  Right?

I can\'t be too hard on Gary, the guy I\'ll be sitting next to was playing a mellophone that day.

Re: Big Game roll call - fullmetal - 11-15-2010

Austin, TX, organizing a bunch of Stanford fans in the heart of the Lone Star State.

Re: Big Game roll call - Spiny_Norman - 11-15-2010

Anyone in the LA area should join us at Busby\'s West on Santa Monica in West LA.

Re: Big Game roll call - Embo - 11-15-2010

I\'ll be there.  My 39th Big Game.  (Got an early start by catching three while in high school.)

I\'ll be in Section O, row 21.

Re: Big Game roll call - Farm93 - 11-15-2010

22nd Big Game on Saturday.

3 Green wins, 1 Walsh win, 7 "Ty" wins, and 1 Harbaugh win.  12 wins and 9 losses, so far.  Most of those losses were under this recent Ted.f.ord reign.

Re: Big Game roll call - fullmetal - 11-16-2010

The press release reminds us that Stanford has lost seven of the last eight Big Games.  Turn that trend around!

Re: Big Game roll call - Farm93 - 11-16-2010

My memory is still solid enough that I don\'t need a press release to remind me of the recent Big Game trend.

And yet, Stanford 2010 faced similar press release style trends on many fronts.  Winning vs UCLA in the Rose Bowl, winning vs USC at Stanford, winning vs ASU in Tempe, winning at South Bend, beating conference opponents on the road with shutouts, etc.  I wouldn\'t trade those for a Big Game win, but I sure would hope the trend breaking trend continues.

I am sure others are singularly motivated to Beat C.a.l, but I prefer the 9-1 #6 BCS path to Big Game.  Coming in 3-7 and hoping for a way to salvage the year was not much fun.

Re: Big Game roll call - Farm93 - 11-16-2010

For those that are going to Big Game 2010.
Remember your red wet weather gear.  It looks as though rain is now a real possibility with high temps potentially not hitting 60 degrees.

While that will be an inconvenience for fans, I have little doubt that this is good for the Stanford team.  Power usually is a better wet weather scheme.  Luck throws a very nice tight spiral even in bad weather.  And, based on the UW road experience the team plays OK in the rain on the road.

And remember, it rained a bit for the 1999 Big Game and that season turned out OK.

Re: Big Game roll call - gbiddulph - 11-17-2010

It\'s my wife\'s birthday, so I\'m telling her were going out for an afternoon on the town in Boulder.  Somehow we will end up at the brew pub where 90 or so Stanford fans are expected to watch the Weenies get creamed.  :)

Re: Big Game roll call - fullmetal - 11-17-2010

F_I_C: maybe have a cake ready at the brew pub for her ahead of time :)
