How \'bout the UConn/Baylor women\'s basketball game? Since UConn won and "the streak" is still alive, the December 30th match up with Stanford is looking mighty intriguing!!

(And to Baylor coach Kim Mulkey, never burn your last time out when you are about to get the last possession in a one point game!)

I believe it will be at 90 or 91.  Either way they would have the longest winning streak in basketball history before they come to Maples.

Baylor should have been able to set up a better play since the action should have stopped after the 30 second shot clock violation.    It almost doesn\'t matter.  If Baylor was that close in November, I am sure they like their chances in late March or early April in a rematch.

While casual WBB fans may care about this Uconn streak, the players on other teams are likely more focused on winning the NCAA title in April.

Baylor will like their chances absent any injuries, that is.  The season is a long one.

It\'s kind of like the WVB team beating Penn State earlier this year.  Great, we knocked them off their high horse, but now PSU might be refocused and ready to rock the rest of the season.  There are countless stories out there that end with the maxim: be sure to peak at the right time.

Nice to see C and R here. Check out their Stanford WBB blog at http://www.womenssportsinformation.com/blog.html

Seconding that it\'s nice to see C and R here.

My big reason for wanting Baylor to win?  So that UConn\'s winning streak stops being the only WBB story that gets reported on.  Especially since they\'ve got a fairly cream-puff laden schedule between now and when we take them on December 30.  And since the Big East stuck two conference games in before then, so that instead of the Stanford-UConn game being with UConn potentially tied with UCLA on 88 consecutive wins, it\'ll be game 90 or 91 if the Huskies keep it going.

Their schedule?  Toughest game is a neutral-site against Ohio State.  But they have their two toughest opponents, LSU and Florida State, at homw.  Stanford, meanwhile, is going to Utah, Gonzaga and Tennessee prior to the game at Maples.
