Vote in the poll to voice your opinion if Tressider Union or the athletic buildings is the better location to display the Stanford Axe.

I voted for the student Union since the axe is marginally more their for the students than it is for the athletes. Â I\'d argue that as the icon for a Big Game victory it should be someplace where the students can both celebrate it\'s presence and be reminded of its absence. Â The athletes have plenty of other reasons to want to win big game and as students themselves (at Stanford they are!) they\'ll still see it at Tressider.
And <ahem> I see you were reminded that we have a lot of Daily editors around this place. Â But we\'re not ALL daily editors as my frequent misspellings will quickly remind you.

I have a hard time imagining how running the Cal AD while impaled on a pike at Stanford could possibly be any worse than it already is. I guess what I\'m asking is why the two needs to be mutually exclusive (unless, of course, she needs to punch in in person... which could be a problem).

So the final poll was 14 for Tresidder, 9 for the athletic complex.
Those of you on campus, please yell out those stats when we get our hands on the thing, after yelling some other things.
I agree that we don\'t have the axe yet, and I am not jinxing it.
When I was a kid, you\'d walk by the axe on the way to the Arcade/bowling alley. My dad would count up the streaks and point out the rugby dates on the plaque.

On Sunday it\'ll be in it\'s proper display case in the lobby of the Athletic Deptment and right outside the Hall of Fame Room. Â :)
