Statistics -- Jordan Williamson -

Jordan Williamson is on the verge of breaking the Stanford career record for points scored. Williamson is just 3 points behind the current record-holder, so he should break this record in our first game against UCDavis. That will give us something extra to cheer about in that game.
I will be very happy to see someone else take over as career scoring leader. Toby Gerhart and Stepfan Taylor both came close, but fell a little short.
The current leaders in career points scored:
289Â Â Eric Abrams, 1992-95
286Â Â Jordan Williamson, 2011-current
270Â Â Stepfan Taylor, 2009-12
268Â Â Toby Gerhart, 2006-09
256Â Â Darrin Nelson, 1977-81
254Â Â John Hopkins, 1987-90
252Â Â Mark Harmon, 1981-84
247Â Â Ken Naber, 1977-80
239Â Â Michael Sgroi, 2002-05
236Â Â Tommy Vardell, 1988-91

This.
My freshman year was the '95 season. Abrams was so money. Not a fun spring when that story broke...

I hope he got things sorted out and is flourishing somewhere. Anyone know what became of him? It was a fairly ignominious event, and I would presume that he is trying his best to be a short dog in tall grass.

I never forgave Abrams for missing the game winning field goal against UCLA in '94. It was the only game of that season that I was able to attend. I went with my buddy who was a brobdingnagian Bruin fan. I had to hear about that loss for years to come.
It's amazing that he still holds the scoring record. Here is an excerpt from SF GATE:
"Abrams' sophomore year was a comedown of sorts, with the kicker making just six of 13 field goals from 30 yards and beyond. And his junior year was an all-out crash. He made just nine of 18 field goals, and he missed two very makeable attempts that would have won games in the final seconds. After one miss, Walsh said, "That kick was so bad, we could've moved the goalposts in front of (Abrams) and he still would have missed."

He continued his illegal activities and was arrested several more times. It's all chronicled here:

Actually, until reading this thread I was unaware of Abrams' arrest in '96 and the events that followed. Now I have more reasons to withhold forgiveness.
