Men's Golf is going great guns early - CornFed - 09-10-2014

Men's Golf is off to a great start.  I presume many of you saw this on Stanford's website, but for those of you who didn't and root for golf, here's the link.  McNealy is off to a great start filling in for Cameron and Patrick.

Remarkable showing. 

Stanford shows up without the NCAA champion (Wilson), the winner of the Ben Hogan award as college player of the year (Rodgers), and a third guy who finished third in the NCAA finals (Boote), and virtually lap the field, averaging almost a stroke and a half less per player per round than the runner ups.

McNeally is quite a story, given that he seemed an after thought to a class with two of the five best junior golfers in the world.  But with his rise, pundits may one day look back and say that our current sophomore group of Liu, Virwat, and Maverick comprised one of the greatest three-man recruiting classes in NCAA golf history.
