I was there last year for the Pac-12 CG, and believe the field surface, the stadium environment, the kick time, and the opponent's schemes on offense and defense are all there for Stanford to win this one easily.
Once again though, I have more faith that the D will keep ASU below 20 than I have in the offense scoring more than 14. I just believe there is a lot of upside for the offense, special teams and even defensive scores with this opponent.

A lot of people making fairly conservative predictions about the game (by the site's standards). And, to be fair, Vegas puts us as 3 pt favorites (down from 4.5 pt favorites at the openning). But I think Wilner is right about this game (http://blogs.mercurynews.com/collegesports/2014/10/13/stanford-football-grading-the-week-53/#more-37306)

Two games against ASU last year more or less prove it. ASU has a better offense than WSU (as in, it is not so one-dimensional), and is playing at home. But I think we'll deal with them with ease. Call it 31-20 for Stanford.
