Road wins - StanFan88 - 11-23-2014
1990: Stanford wins in South Bend over then #1 Notre Dame. Dennis Green beats Lou Holtz
2007:Â Greatest.Upset.Ever
2010:Â The Drubbing of the Domers
2011:Â Triple OT at the Mausoleum
2012:Â The Miracle in Autzen
2013:Â The Spanking of Sparky & The Run for The Roses
All of these road wins were fantastic games that had me jumping up and down
BUT NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THEM HOLDS A CANDLE TO WHEN STANFORD CRUSHES THE WEENIES IN BERKELEY!!!!

The 1995 and 2001 wins against the Ducks in Eugene were pretty sweet, too.

Does Berkeley even count as a road game anymore? Stanford kind of owns the stadium...and the team that plays within it :)

1990: when 50,000 weenies went from absolute bedlam to dead silence
They have more fans there so yeah it's a road game. But lately it's been Stanford's house

Is that what is meant by "C HOUSE"?

Little known fact: it's "Memorial" Stadium to all those poor, doomed 59ers, all in their own personal Verduns.

Our road win in 2006 was also pretty important for the season! :P

I think so! Often confused with C-House, the reference to Cedro in Wilbur...

Elway vs. Oklahoma in the rain, 2010. It was wet and the ball was slippery, and the Oklahoma guys doinked about 4 interceptions. That's how I remembered it.

1992 at South Bend. I don't know if Lou Holtz ever wanted a game more than that one. Bill Walsh had been the NBC color commentator for Notre Dame football the year before. During that season, Walsh was often critical of Holtz and his coaching decisions. In the week leading up to the '92 Stanford game, Holtz spoke out against Walsh and some of his criticisms of him. BW responded by saying that Holtz often acted like a petulant child.
ND rushed out to a 16-0 lead before Stanford blitzed them with 33 unanswered points. Afterwards, Walsh and Holtz met at midfield and Walsh put his arm around Lou, seemingly consoling him as the two walked off of the field. Inside, you knew Holtz had to be just humiliated by what happened on the field and by Walsh's post-game showmanship. Without a doubt, one of my favorite Stanford football memories!

"Tough game, Lou. But then, some of us are multiple Super-Bowl-winning NFL coaches...and some of us coach UDFG."
