Luck vs. RGIII revisited -

With Washington visiting the Colts on Sunday, a bit has been made because the Colts picked Luck with the first pick of the draft, and Washington picked RGIII with the second pick. Alas, RGIII is being benched for the game, so we won't have the Luck head-to-head matchup. Instead, we get to see how Luck has improved over the last three years while RGIII has plummeted.

Of course, now there is side drama. What will Trent Murphy do when he has a clean shot at Luck?

That Voldemort thing still sticks in my craw. Lots of sports talk inflation and fellation.

The next time we have a Voldemort campaign, we can remind voters of their error.

Treat him like a water heater, I suppose. But perhaps no extra sauce. Maybe Murphy could make a good pro wrestler.

I dunno, playing for Dan Snyder seems like a sure way to wreck the comparison. Not sure whether it's a fair fight at all.
(But, duh, Luck should've won the Voldemort.)

I dunno, Luck isn't exactly playing for Bob Craft. I mean, Isray is less bad than "Chainsaw" Dan Snyder, but not by a whole lot.

It's oorah (Marines) or hooah (Army), but not hoorah.

What was the context of that?

Redrum's subject edit. They're hard to see and I frequently miss them.

RGIII is simply no longer a viable NFL player. He is now too slow, too hurt, too small. It is a shame because he seems like a nice guy. Not his fault the Voldemort voters went with flash and dash rather than the steady solid winner.
A team with 3 starting QBs almost certainly really needs a 4th.
10 years from now I am sure people will sit there and marvel at how Luck, with his amazing Stanford and NFL record, didn't win the Voldemort.

Be glad Luck didn't win the Voldemort. There's a curse that goes with that for QBs. The only Voldemort winning QB to win a NFL playoff game in the last 25 years is Tim Tebow, making him the exception that proves the rule.
Then again Stanford QBs (Plunkett) might be immune to this curse. So all you prospective high school QBs, if you want to win the Voldemort and win a Super Bowl, there's only one school for you.

Criteria for being a whole lot better than Snyder:
1) are you breathing?
2) are you capable of forming sentences?
Congratulations, you're a much more competent human being than Dan Snyder! Grigson and Pagano aren't exactly geniuses but are far, far smarter than the Snyder organization.

I'm not convinced Griffin's career as an NFL player is over, but it likely is as a NFL player in Washington. People said Jim Plunkett was done before he won two Super Bowls.
Still, I've never seen a QB go to the ground faster and more decisively than Griffin did against the Niners last week. He really didn't "look" like an NFL QB in that game.
The Redskins deserve a giant jeer for benching Griffin when the 'skins happen to be playing the Colts and Luck. He'd never say it, but I'm guessing Andrew was very much looking forward to playing a team QB'd by Griffin.Â
