"A conspiracy SO vast..." - Redrum - 11-27-2014

It wasn't an a** whipping on the field,  it was much more sinister, going to the very heart of college football...i.e. a vast conspiracy to (of all things)  screw Kal.  Courtesy of Bear Insider.

Quote:For so long I have tried to write it off to incompetence or inconsistency, but it simply can't be that. There is an agenda when subjective calls are administered with consistent bias. I am really starting to believe that refs are involved in fixing, but don't know for who or why. This is no longer fan bitching or venting, there is a good deal of evidence for which corruption is the only explanation. Color me shocked and disgusted it has come to this and that the NCAA, media, and school administers are not taking a serious look at investigation and reform.

I'll just add that I am in favor of this and jealous that somebody had the imagination and power to actually implement it.

I have to admit, overturning 3 scoring plays in so short a span really made this game special.

Worried that winning will stop being enough.

Beating Cal will never stop being enough, but beating them in a particularly humiliating or heartbreaking fashion makes it that much sweeter.

Yes, there was a conspiracy for you to lose by 21 instead of 17. Absolutely.

Could've been 28 without much trouble.

And what was the spread? I mean, was it like Woodrow Wilson and World War I?

Spread was 5.5 IIRC.

The O/U was 56.  Those lost 4 points made a big difference!

Well, those silly Bares DID, in their bumbling way, confirm what we've always believed:  at some fundamental level,  the Universe really does hate Kal.

If I were The Universe I'd be pissed off with Kal too, given all those Nobel Prize physicists from there who have been poking and prodding me for decades......

I thought it was because they made elements that aren't supposed to exist.
