WVB: Selection Show - Viking_Guy - 11-30-2014

#1 seeds released: Stanford, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin.  I hope it's in that order.

More when they start the show, after this scintillating game between Georgia Tech and Rhode Island ends.

Sadly that's alphabetical order.  But we hope.
Will this MBB game ever end?

Re: WVB: Selection Show - Viking_Guy - 11-30-2014

Stanford #1.  Texas #2.  Washington #3 (and hosting a regional).  Wisconsin #4.

So it wasn't alphabetical.

Hoping to see PSU in Seattle...

Well, it was alphabetical, but coincidentally, the overall seed order was alphabetical.

Stanford v CSU Bakersfield, then Michigan State  - Loyola Marymount.  And they're going to Ames, Iowa.

National 16 seed Kansas v UALR, Creighton v Oregon State.

#8 seed Florida v Alabama State, Miami v University of Central Florida.

#9 Illinois hosts Murray State, Western Kentucky and regional host Iowa State.

Not too bad.  Glad to see no Penn State; I'm betting they're in Seattle.

Having two ACC teams 6 and 7 then Florida 8 and in Stanford's regional is a brobdingnagian slam at Stanford.  We are the top seed yet both Texas and Washington have easier routes to the F4.

Re: WVB: Selection Show - Jskass - 11-30-2014

PERHAPS but actions speak louder than words. We just need to get the job done and we don't have Penn State.

Re: WVB: Selection Show - 76lsjumb - 11-30-2014

Florida [#8] should be ahead of UNC [#7], but still, this has got to be a "no excuses" year.  Tell us whom we play, and we'll play them, beat them, and move on...

As far as Washington is concerned, being able to play in Seattle almost certainly guaranteed them a Final Four slot anyway.

Plus, if I understand it correctly, and if we both make it that far, we could get our revenge match [NOT in Seattle] for all the marbles.
