Actually, Garvin, UCLA was on a five-game losing streak before they were fortunate enough to play Stanford in that cursed Pauley Pavilion. This is not a good UCLA team. They've lost to every team with a pulse (Oklahoma, North Carolina, Gonzaga, Kentucky, Alabama, Colorado, Utah) and have defeated the likes of Azusa Pacific, Montana State, Coastal Carolina, Nicholls State, Long Beach State, UAB, Cal_State Fullerton, San Diego, UC Riverside--well, at least the Bruins have dominated the Big West.
This one hurts. I let myself get sucked into the hope, only to be left bloody and beaten. Stanford now has two +100 RPI losses, although the Bruins may actually climb into double-digits after tonight.

When the announcers kept mentioning that Stanford has not won at Pauley in 10 years, I realized I attended the last Stanford MBB victory at UCLA. :(

Agreed, PapaJohn. Not only did this one hurt emotionally, but it hurt the Trees' chances of playing in the tournament. If you're a tournament team, you can't lose these games to +100 RPI teams, even if they have UCLA on their uniform.

Well, I missed the end of regulation and the end of double OT thanks to DirecTV technical issues. Of course, they were resolved seconds after the game ended. At least I got to see the post-game handshakes. Did this happen to anybody else with DTV in the Bay Area? This may be the last straw.
