the next commitment -
TrumpCard - 05-08-2015
I'm going with Yarbrough since he set a commitment date in less than 2 weeks. The other 3 listed could pop at any time. The field isn't a bad bet either since there is a Junior Day next weekend and you never know if one of those guys will commit on the spot.Â

If I had to pick someone, it would be Yarbrough. However, I would think we have a least a shot at Chidi Okonya, who announces May 15, even though reports are he is leaning toward Tennessee.

Went Yarborough, but I think Mike Williams has a good shot after the junior day coming up. He's excited to be coming out here, and seems to love Stanford (based on twitter). I'm not sure if he's visited before, but if he hasn't then I think this could seal it for him. Which would be amazing.
I may have just convinced myself to change my vote...

Yarbrough announces May 15. Mike Williams arrives that day from Fort Worth, and I wouldn't be surprised if he commits to us over that weekend or within days after.Â

Recruit Mike Williams looks like Quinton Aaron, the actor who played Michael Oher in
The Blindside

Ahh, for some reason I thought Yarbrough committed the following week. Now I'm more confident in my vote :)

I saw something a week or so ago from Yarbrough that he was announcing on May 21. Maybe he decided to move it up.

Um, everyone who picked Yarbrough - like myself - needs to change their vote. The kid posted a tweet saying he is postponing his commitment date and possibly going to visit a few more schools before deciding.Â
I'll now go with Keith Simms.

Wonder what caused that? Hopefully not word from Stanford that his admissions status was shaky.

did he get a disappointing result from the SAT/ACT?

The results for the most recent SATs and ACTs have been out for weeks.Â
Yabrough knows, in the words of another Stanford 2016 recruit, "how harsh Stanford admissions can be."Â
Re: the next commitment -
socalstanfan1 - 05-11-2015
the most recent SAT exam was just last Saturday. Of course, no idea if Yarbrough took that one.

Who knows what the real reason for the postponement was, but Yarbrough suddenly getting cold feet over his chances of being admitted to Stanford would certainly be a plausible explanation.

Maybe Yarbrough wants to get some feedback after the admissions office sees his spring semester grades.

All those who voted for Yarbrough, line up to collect your winnings.
Now the question is, "Who's next to commit after Yarbrough?"

If you follow twitter tea leaves, it seems like Keith Simms and Simi Fehoko are the best bets.

Butler recently talked about potential SEC offers, so he seems a bit less likely. If you think, however, that Butler is merely emulating Yarbrough's fake report that he would delay committing, then you might still go for Butler. Remember he has a 4.2 GPA so committing early is not much of a risk for him.

For purposes of this thread, let's lump the others into "The Field."

I'll go for Simms.
Re: the next commitment -

Simms or Fehoko followed by Butler, Mike Williams or David Long.
Re: the next commitment -
TrumpCard - 05-20-2015
I think at least one current offer recipient will commit in the very near future.Â
With a couple of WRs off the board, however, Donald Stewart is a possibility. He seemed to really like Stanford when he visited for the March Junior Day. He might just be waiting on an offer. I am not aware of an OL who fits the same mold, but there might be one out there.

I don't know about you, but I bet double or nothing on Simms, and it's looking like a good bet:
