In Case Your Stanford News Search Missed It -

There was a bit of a kerfuffle recently about a NY Page 6 item that alleges Andrew Luck used his potty mouth to respond to a fans inquiry about someday playing for the Jets. I never put any stock in it as a rumor mill grist, but found this article reviewing the "incident" and its implications amusing.

It is nice to hear that he was hanging with J Martin, though. Good to hear the Stanford guys continuing to support each other.

This is a very disappointing report.

I refer, of course, to Luck's beverage choice. A Heineken, really?

Just like his flip phone, perhaps Luck is holding on to Heineken for nostalgia sake.

Who could disagree with the wisdom of Andrew Luck?

Reading the comments following the linked article, I was reminded of an NFL promo from the late 1960s.
One of the league's national sponsors ran a multi-week contest, the winning family of which got to home-host its NFL player of choice for an overnight visit that included dinner and breakfast.
The best of the myriad jokes that followed: The winning family welcomes Bart Starr for a night. The runner-up gets Joe Don Looney for two weeks.
Punch line translated to 2015: Andrew Luck shows up at the winner's door with an overnighter. The runner-up flees the house as "Football Johnny" Manziel
back up a minivan.

What is less likely Luck drinking a macrobrew or slandering an opponent with profanity.
I think Luck will play out his contract with the Colts and their franchise tags so he can play for Belichik. He doesnt want to be the next Manning. He wants to be the next Brady (without the cheating).
