Neuheisel on Brennan Scarlett - ChicagoCard - 07-01-2015
Just came across this. Rick Neuheisel did an interview posted on a C.a.l. site and predicted them over Stanford this year. Sounded a bit as though he was just being ingratiating to his hosts...

We've never lost a Big Game that I've attended in person. I'm planning to go this year so we will win.

They still suck colossally on both sides of the line; winning and losing begins on the line always. The focus on the receivers and QB is way overblown.
...and when was Scarlett a linebacker? Good job, Rick!

If Neuheisel knew football the way he thinks he knows football he would still be head coach at UCLA.

P12N's Yogi Roth picks Stanford to win the Pac 12 North, and then to defeat ASU in the title game. Yogi is smarter than the average bear...or bruin.

Scarlett played OLB at Ca.l when they played a 3-4 under Tedford.
Ca.l's OL is going to be a lot better than some here might think. The DL is going to be much better than the last two years as well.
Ca.l has two primary weaknesses:
1. Pass rush (though it should be improved over 2014)
2. Secondary
They will be able to run the ball, pass it, and stop the run. The question is can they improve in pass D.Â
My O/U for Ca.l wins: 7

All of these statements would be more informative if you told us why you believe them to be true. [Though I get the "pass it" part.]
