Thank you for the post.  Did you read the comments after the 4th part in which Guy Benjamin writes a long reply?

This story is interesting.  Guy's comment even more so.  Is anyone else struck by the similarity between his Miami Story and Jonathon Martin's?  Both Stanford First Team All Americans, arrive in Miami and hate it.  They both report the same culture, one very different from what they experienced and enjoyed at Stanford.  Both moved on, seemed to lose their competitive edge, retired after fairly short NFL careers.  Decades separate them but neither could deal with the Dolphin culture.  Maybe it's something in the water.

From your lips to Garvin's ears!

Speaking 0f which, Garvin.  Do you know Richard Pachter?  We became Facebook friends some months ago; I didn't know him or recognize his name.  Only days ago did I realize he was a writer for the Miami Herald, and it was days later until I realized he'd written a review that appeared on my third book.  Really appreciate his sharp eye and occasional sharp tongue.

Interesting read, especially Guy B's comments... thanks for posting the link.
Mike Boryla (my era) was another Stanford QB who only lasted a few seasons in the NFL.

Guy's response made me think about Jonathan Martin and wonder if, after 40 years, has anything changed with the Dolphins????
