U.sc losing support in power base? -

I am not surprised at all by this article, but shocked that it is in the OC Register, in the heart of their traditional power base.

Bob Bowlsby mentioned positively in the article:
Quote: Upset with by Washington State AD Bill Moos proposal to change the Pac-12s revenue distribution, Haden suggested during an October 2010 conference meeting that USC would explore leaving the league, according to Jeff Benedict and Armen Keteyian in The System. But then Stanford AD Bob Bowlsby, the authors wrote, had no patience for Hadens bluster and called his bluff, saying everyone knew that wasnt going to happen.
Muir probably would've given Haden an extension.

I do agree with the editorial that Haden isn't nearly as much of a savior as he has been made out to be by Trojan boosters. But I hear he's good at talking to the refs on behalf of his coach.

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving program.

He's still a condom at heart. Notice he couldn't bring himself to give us credit for Cutty Sark.

Most interesting to me was the fact that the word S******d was not mentioned in the article, even though almost all other Pac12 teams seemed to be used as foils. We must be the Voldemort as far as Orange County is concerned.....

During a game at Stanford last season, with Sarkisian unhappy with a series of officiating calls, Haden left his stadium suite and ran across the field to the Tro.jans sideline, where he joined his coach in confronting the game officials.
And the line WiM quoted slightly further up in the thread that mentions Bowlsby...

With Josh Shaw's fake-rescue-nephew-from-drowning debacle after last year's Salute To Troy and Sark's drunken performance this year, Salute To Troy has become my favorite USC spectacle. Can't wait to see what happens next year.

I hope an NFL franchise or two in LA will rob them of fans.

Do you want to start with deflate-gate?

You and Hulk are technically correct, but the Stanford mentions were about the past, not the future, which was the central theme of the piece.

Well, I noticed Cutty Sark didn't include us in teams who "suck."Â Maybe he knows better than to goad the bull.
