Yeah, just noticed. I believe we heard here that Texas was an offensive juggernaut now that they put Heard at QB. He's 5-9 for 24 yards. But he's made up for it by rushing for -10 yards.
Well - never post midgame. Things might change.

That Texas win not looking so golden for Kal.
Bear fans may want to hold off a bit longer before investing in that 2016 Rose Bowl Hoodie.

It's quite common for bad teams to play competitive games, and then fall apart. Ca.l played Texas in the first game Heard started, at Texas. The Oklahoma State DC said last week that they would have been in trouble without seeing Heard play the previous week. Texas played Ca.l and Oklahoma State very tough. Both are Top 25 teams. TCU gave up 50+ points last week and was lucky to win.Â
If you want to take credit away from undefeated teams, how about #2 Michigan State? Who have they beat that is any good? That Oregon team that lost at home 61-20 last week?
That all said, I'm shocked Texas is losing 50-0 to anyone.Â

OF... It's now 50-zip. And this is a TCU defense that has more injuries than UCLA and UDFG combined. Texas basically got shut out by TCU's second team, the same TCU that gave up 52 to Texas Tech last week.

But I do agree with you that Michigan State is overrated. They just beat Purdue by a field goal.

Sure! Let's take credit away from them too! It's not a zero-sum game!
(it's a negative sum game! HATE HATE HATE.)

So, what you seem to be saying Kal's marquee win is against a team that's getting shut out 50-0 against a team that allowed 50 points last week. Uh, OK.
PS: Oregon's 61-20 loss is still 9 points better than cal.
PPS: Why go after cal and not Michigan State? Because cal is cal and Michigan State is not.

Iowa beat #19 Wisconsin 10-6. Wisco would be the team most likely to upset Northwestern's chances of making it to the Big 10 championship game. Wildcats are looking good for the postseason now...
Wait, I forgot Michigan. Okay...

Weenies down 21 to 7 at the end of the 2nd Q. 8)

Actually 21-13 at end of half. Nice TD drive at end of quarter topped by missed extra point.

I'd bet "that Oregon team" still beats the 59ers this year. (And I would have said that even if Cal weren't struggling to beat Wazzu.)

Cal-WSU has nearly 800 yards of offense, of which fewer than 60 yards have been rushing.

Embarrassing. Even Sonny Dykes went for it on 4th and 4 from the WSU 35 leading by 6. Maybe we will be more aggressive in these situations now that we know what the offense can do.

As i posted elsewhere, they had third and four and Goff threw twice. Can you imagine Teejers' reaction? The "----- raid" lack of running game is what prevents it from being a defent offense.

Perhaps more importantly, they had a lead and were trying to run out the clock, and they were still throwing on 3rd and 4 (and 4th and 4). If you can't run the ball, that makes it really hard to run out the clock when you have a slim lead.

It's not the 59ers offense that's a problem it's the defense which doesn't look materially better than last year.
I'll take Utah -17 next week

I hadn't watched Cal so far this year (had better things to do, like literally anything), but while convalescing from my neighborhood's Oktoberfest I watched the second half of the Wazzou game, and holy shit does Cal look terrible. No one could tackle, no one could complete a reasonable pass, no one could run. It was like a cripple fight. People are afraid of this Cal team? They looked terrible. Like, seriously, needing a surprise onside kick to beat ***** Wazzou? Terrible. Terrible terrible terrible.
