Finally the UC's budget woes and the UCAD's deficits may do some good. It seems the B.e.a.r.s were unable to pay top dollar, and therefore could not land the big recruit. As we all learned from the Newton/Auburn situation, it is OK to ask as long as you don't get anything. The $5K might not have been on the up and up, but since the B.e.a.r.s didn't get anything there should be no problem.
BTW- I am more than happy spend an hour or two assembling some youtube links if C.a.l. will pay me $5,000 for the work.
For me, I think LSU has some explaining to do. They paid $1k more than the B.e.a.r.s for a less comprehensive package. Was that the best price negotiation the fine SEC coaches could accomplish?
