The poll was one of the most active I've ever seen, with 118 responses. Thanks, everyone for weighing in. For the record, I unable to see who made which choices. I couldn't see any identification, not even IP addresses.
The plurality (47.5%) responded that they wanted to allow political discussions only if they were related to Stanford sports. For about a day, it appeared that that response might even gain a majority. The next response, to allow all political discussions, garnered 38 votes, or 32.2%.
As a result, I will be deleting messages that refer to politics, but have no readily apparent relationship to Stanford sports.
