According to pac-12.com, the "national" Pac-12 network will air the Stanford spring game at 7:30 pm. It looks like only Pac-12 Bay Area is showing the SG live at 1 pm.

St. Brown and Wedington will play if they are as good as advertised. They play positions where we play multiple people and we don't have an abundance of proven returning talent in RB and WR so they should see the field. They are also the positions where freshman tend to play the earliest and make the biggest impact.  I don't think any of our elite WRs or RBs over the last decade redshirted.  Didn't Gerhart, Gaffney, Taylor, CMAC, Love all play as true frosh? Same thing with Ty, Owusu, Irwin, Whalen? Not sure about Baldwin.  I could argue that if you don't play RB as a true frosh, you aren't likely going to be that good because elite playmaking talent is obvious.

A more serious issue is that neither Burns or Chryst have shown themselves to be extremely accurate passers that can reliably hit the open man. Burns air-mails everything and Chryst throws it into the ground. OK, that is an overstatement, and certainly lack of protection has been an issue, but I don't have a "good feeling" about the accuracy I have seen from any of the QBs so far. Burns looked great for two games and then things started to slide fast. Chryst was, IMHO, an improvement over the "Colorado" Burns, but even then I never got the feeling that our passing game was "reliable" last year. I agree that Stanford's tight ends can and should make large contributions in the next season. I don't think the key in the passing game is the receivers, wide, tight, or from the backfield. They are indeed "good enough". It is reliably getting the ball to them when they are open from a QB who is not on the ground.

I B-S is the fastest guy on the track team and beat Rector in the Wash. HS championships in the 100.  He dropped an underthrown pass from Hogan in 2015 and Shaw hardly played him afterwards.

I thought Chryst was initially unimpressive, but showed improvement as he gained more experience. Hopefully he will be fully recovered from his injury and continue that improvement this fall.
Have high hopes for Costello, although I can't say I find his 5-13 performance yesterday particularly encouraging.

I thought Chryst starting playing well against Oregon (all the usual caveats about not great competition noted). His statistics for that game were impressive, and he threw a number of first rate passes to Rector and JJAW. If we can get that version of Keller back, I think we will be in good shape.

Terrance Alexander's 10.95 100 meters at a recent meet topped IBS, who ran a 10.98. I really don't think IBS is a P12 level football player.
