Only just now getting around to the 7/17 issue with Gatorade HS Athletes of the Year (recent winners are listed here https://www.si.com/vault/2017/07/12/teen-titans, including Barboza and Chiney) and spotted Tim Tawa in Faces in the Crowd. I don't know why, but I like seeing our athletes mentioned there, no matter the sport.

Tim Tawa | West Linn, Ore. | Baseball / Football

Tim, a recent graduate of West Linn High, batted .356 as a shortstop and went 7--2 with a 1.38 ERA for the Class 6A runners-up. A three-time Gatorade state football player of the year, he led the Lions to the 6A title in 2016, throwing for 3,989 yards with 55 touchdowns and just one interception. Tim will play baseball at Stanford.
