One of the other threads made me think that this thread should be started.

Not having gone to the Orange Bowl last year, and indeed, not having gone to any major bowl, I was hoping that people could post the particular events other than the game that one should go to.

I was also thinking that people could post cool Phoenix area things to do if there was time either before or after the 2nd. 

The only thing that I have done in Phoenix/Scottsdale that I really liked -- I haven't spent much time there -- is the Museum of Musical Instruments up in Scottsdale that I thought was really cool to kill a few hours.  Other than that, I have usually just headed up to Sedona.

If you're into museums the Heard North....which is, oddly enough, north of Scottsdale on Scottsdale Road...is worth a visit. And while  you're that far out of town, you might as well keep on going and investigate Cave Creek.
