They average 293 yards a game. Give up 314. Yet they are 10-2. Iowa. Kirk Ferentz . Never pretty. But he sure wins a lot.

And of course their opponent today is the opposite.
Nebraska averages 28 points and 448 yards per game and gives up 23 points and 366 yards per game. Yet 3-9, they keep finding ways to lose.

before today's game Iowa was +12 on turnovers, Nebraska was -4
today Iowa one turnover, Nebraska two turnovers and Iowa blocked a punt for a TD
and Nebraska's wins this year
52-7 over Fordham, Fordham did lose to Colgate this year (our game 1 opponent next year)
28-3 over Buffalo
56-7 over Northwestern, NU also has three wins this year over Indiana State, Ohio, and Rutgers....

These things usually even out year to year. I don’t know who Nebraska has coming back, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they are significantly better from the W/L perspective next year. Frost got a vote of confidence, so he’ll have a chance for better results (or he might get tarmac’d). I hope he has a better year next year.
