i think the Texans chose well, as they did when they chose Mills.
They like Stanford players and those players have done well for them.

Harrison, Reid, Kalambayi, Mills. Now Booker.

I'm sure glad the coach likes where there program is. Clearly the path to the NFL doesn't go through Palo Alto.

Lots of ifs, but not a lot of realization thus far.

Stanford has as many as 5 players who have to date demonstrated as 2023 NFL Draft worthy players IMO:
- CB Kyu Blu Kelly
- WR Brycen Tremayne
- TE Ben Yurosek
- OT Walter Rouse
- WR Elijah Higgins
It's possible others could emerge, though I doubt Michael Wilson is an NFL player. He's solid, but you need to be exceptional at something at his position and I don't see it with Wilson to date.

Elijah Higgins on the list but not Tanner McKee?
Kelly, Yurosek and McKee for sure.
Others (including Fields) are possibilities; so much can change in one season, but only the first three are likely, barring injury.
P.S. Agree on Wilson, but what does Higgins do that is special? he's the type of receiver that NFL teams don't really value.

I'll add Fields and McKee to that list of "potential" draftees, realizing that at most 3 of them will actually be drafted.
That Booker was the ONLY player drafted is illustrative of the state of the program...sigh

I didn't think of McKee as being NFL-ready after what would be less than 20 games as a starter assuming he plays them all. But then again, he was an LDS guy and my want to move on given his age even if he could use another year in college to elevate his value.
Higgins put up really impressive numbers until McKee went out last year. He could really carve out a role as a big slot receiver who is too big/strong for nickel backs to cover. It is up to Stanford to showcase him in that role and develop him as a blocker so he can also maybe play some TE.
