Those of us at the game or watching on the Pac-12 Network will need to get our heads checked as that means electing to watch this instead of Ohio State vs. Notre Dame at almost the exact same time. I think Florida-Kentucky and Oklahoma State-Arizona State are far superior games than USC-Stanford. But USC-Stanford gets eyes for exactly the reason you say - first chance for anybody nationally to see Lincoln Riley at USC (because nobody's watching that Rice game on Pac-12 Network). That Colgate game is not scheduled for its national eyeballs, it is scheduled for people who specifically want to watch Stanford )or Colgate).  There should be more of that and less of “let’s schedule the game to be played after midnight so it doesn’t have to compete against a more compelling option.
