It's never to early to start thinking about Big Game

They asked alumni clubs to create event pages for their respective Big Game viewing parties...but we still don't know the network or the kickoff time, both of which are important to know when securing venues with space.

in Cal's defense they have a ton of injuries this year, and not just on the o-line. At least 1 LB is out for the year and the guy who was booted from the team isn't playing and I don't think the Penn State transfer is playing. They also have a few good CBs out for the year and one of their starting DEs hasn't played. They definitely don't have the depth to overcome so many injuries.

Probably depends on DirecTV. If DirecTV has signed on to carry Pac-12 Networks, I would expect the game to serve as the 12:00 or 12:30 game on Fox or ABC.
If DirecTV has not signed yet AND Stanford is in the top 5, I suspect the Pac-12 Networks will take one of their last first picks for Big Game to try to force the Pac-12 network on DirecTV in 2012.
FWIW DirecTV's defense of the situation is almost laughable. Their site notes that few games with National Title implications are on Pac-12 Networks, so the costs of the channel should not be spread to all subscribers.
Odd, BigTen Networks has NO games with National Title implications and yet DirecTV puts multiple BigTen and BigTen overflow channels on most packages and therefore the costs of THAT conference with no possible BCS CG implications is spread to everyone. Don't even get me started on the two channels in sports other than football.
Still, the Pac-12 needs more people switching and complaining, and grabbing Big Game could be an the best October chip to play.

I wrote in Kal's defense but the software changes it. It would really improve this site if all that nonsense was removed.

young_money's post is accurate. the kal football team has a lot of injury problems, which are contributing to their lack of success on the football field. one would think that Tedford would have slightly better on-field results with a completely healthy squad.
