Gorriaran NOT coming to Stanford. Don't know if we were ever in it. Don't know if Stanford coaches would have wanted to deal with father.

If we are interested in putting together a team that can compete for an NCAA championship, another 2.00 800 meter runner doesn't give us a lot of points. We really need to fill in the holes in the roster in places we are getting no points or few points.
But then I haven't sat down and tried to figure out how our roster might look when running in the Pac 12 or NCAA.
Women's recent results are really spectacular. School record in DMR, 4x400 and now 2 of the fastest times in the 800.
Lots of stuff to like about both the Men's and Women's indoor results. Could be a very good T&F year. Big challenge is to peak at the right time. I don't envy the coaches trying to figure out how to improve and peak at the right time. But that is what they get paid to do.

Coming in 1-2-3 in the 800 would be better than 1-2.
It's all about points in the NCAA's.

Two more school records. Onwuzurike 6.59 breaking his 60 record and Soph John Lester in the 800 1:46.93 breaking Olympian Micheal Stember record by almost a second
Ky Robinson 7:42.30 in the 3K still another school record. That’s 5 school records this weekend
School record # 6 3:31.71 by the women’s 4 x 400 relay team.

Top 16 for the year make indoor NCAA Nationals. Onwuzurike tied for 16th in 60 and 200. Women's 4 X 400 10th or 11th. Top 12 go in relays. Lester 10th in the 800 (that's a really good indoor time). Robinson 7th. Sprout 15th. Whittaker 18th in the mile, but 3rd in the 800. Of course Willis 1st in the 800. Jones 14th in the long jump.

The indoor times in T&F are insane this year. In the 800, our #3 runner Elli Deligianni has a 2:03.79 which puts her at 24th. Most years that would be 5th or 6th. Last year it would have been 10th. Onwuzurike would have been 9th last year.
Men's DMR only #15. 5 seconds out of 12th.
Women 9th.

Incoming recruits Riggs ran great and Bunnage of Australia and incoming recruit ran. Both women U 20
Udodi left out of 60m even though tied for 16th. Or decided he didn't want to run it.
I mentioned elsewhere how fast the times are in indoor track this year. I assume everyone is wearing super shoes.

I looked it up. Udodi had the tie breaker for the 60. Obviously decided to stick with the 200m only.

Jackie Edwards set that long jump record outdoors in 1991. 21-11. Jones should obliterate that during her career.
